Methodology
Every visualization on Chartive carries a record of where its numbers came from and how they were prepared.
For each visualization we aim to capture:
- Sources — the specific datasets and publishers behind the numbers, with links and access dates.
- Methodology — the data basis, transformations, calculations, normalization, rounding, exclusions, and limitations.
- What it does not show — the conclusions the chart cannot support, so it isn't misread.
- Data — where possible, the underlying data to download and inspect.
Verification
Verification is a real editorial process, not an automatic label. A visualization is only marked as reviewed when an editor has checked its sources, calculations, and methodology. We never grant a trust badge just because links are present.
