Methodology
Seconds-to-time conversions and the time-to-spend figure are exact arithmetic (one count per second, continuously). Median US household net worth is from the U.S. Federal Reserve's 2022 Survey of Consumer Finances ($192,900). The world's richest person's net worth (about $864 billion) is a Forbes real-time estimate for August 2026, which changes daily with markets.
What this does not show
The time and spending figures are exact arithmetic. Median household net worth is a 2022 figure; the richest person's wealth is a Forbes estimate for August 2026 that fluctuates daily with markets. The comparison uses total net worth, not income.
